Our office employs several methods for the detection and treatment of halitosis (bad breath). Most bad breath originates in the mouth and tongue area from the growth of bacteria. A device called a Halimeter is used to measure and quantify the bad breath problem. We use a product line called BreathRx that has special ingredients to neutralize the bad breath problem at its source. These products are only available in a dental office and include toothpaste, mouthrinse, tongue cleaners, chewing gum, etc. The products, along with diligent daily removal of the problem bacteria are extremely effective for the treatment of breath problems.
